Unlike environmental portraiture, studio work relies on artificial lighting setups, neutral or designed backdrops, and precise control over shadows, highlights, and mood to create images that focus entirely on the subject’s character, expression, and presence. I try to create a comfortable atmospheres that allow genuine expressions to emerge, and using the controlled environment to eliminate distractions while emphasizing texture, form, and personality.
